Uploads go one file at a time, so one bad file does not stop the rest.
What the messages mean
- "Over 10 MB: [file name]" or "File too large (max 10 MB)." Each file can be up to 10 MB. Save a smaller copy, for example by removing large images.
- "Only PDF, DOCX or TXT: [file name]" or "Unsupported file type. Use PDF, DOCX, or TXT." Save or export your resume in one of those formats.
- "Could not read that file. It may be image-only or corrupted." The file may be a scan or a picture of a page, or it may be damaged. Export a fresh PDF or DOCX from your original document so the text can be read, then upload again.
- "Choose at least one file." or "Choose a file to upload." Pick a file first, then select Upload.
- "Network error during upload." or "Upload failed (...)." Check your connection and try again.
- "Not signed in." Your session ended. Sign in again.
- "The free plan keeps one resume. Delete it to upload another, or upgrade to keep more." Delete your current resume, or see Plans and credits. Paid plans keep up to 10.
If some files worked and some did not
The page shows how many uploaded and says "Press Upload again to retry the ... that failed." Pressing it again retries only the failed ones.
Check what we read
After an upload, open the resume and read the parsed details. The page says "Review and correct the parsed details, then save." If the contact details show as incomplete, fix them there.
No resume file to upload?
On a paid plan you can select Build a resume with guided questions on the Resumes page. The Free plan has no resume builder. Anyone can use Import from LinkedIn by pasting profile text.
